Social Studies 9 self assessment 2

Creative thinking :

The project I decided to do for my self assessment is the immigration journal that we had to do . You had to turn yourself into a black slave and write down your story of how you came to Canada.

I really liked this project , to do this project you had to have a lot of creativity  and you had to think a lot about how they use to come to Canada.

Core Competent Canadians

one-minute video

The video project me and my group decided to do was Barney.

The setting that we used was physical and we didn’t use that many props but still

Tried to do a good job . We used a few props like carboard basically all our props were made of carboard like barney’s head , Barney’s cage , the coats were made of paper. And then for the editing we did use some filters found on Imovie and for sound effects we downloaded one from online and use that one because it matched with our story. The location was basically upstairs and on the back side of the school where there is a jungle and there was a fence that made the veldt and so that was basically where we did it. For the characterization part I think we showed all actions and then the Narrator part was done by Yazan and he did a pretty good job and he included all the aspects of the Story Barney infact was a lot more clear after he done the narrator part. For the plot we did show all of them but not the intro  properly but still we did a pretty good job. So in the movie I was playing as the scientist that is tring to make  Barney (the rat) intelligent.

One thing I think I did good was giving ideas and making like props and I am not that good in acting I did my best and I will try to do better next time. Over all as a group we did a really good job even if we did this in hurry because one of the group member had to leave , but was a pretty fun project and I also did an other role in the Thank you ma’am and so I got to now more people
