if I had to choose between point slope and general form id choose point slope because you can easily input given coordinates and slope.
Point-slope is a specific form of linear equations in two variables:
y−b=m(x−a)
When an equation is written in this form, m gives the slope of the line and (a,b) is a point the line passes through.
from this base you can even solve word problems that includes parallels and or perpendicular.
I learned something about the two which I found interesting and helpful.
For parallels the slope is going to be the same because they’re always going the same direction, but for perpendicular, its the opposite of the slope. for example the denominator is opposite and if its a negative slope you flip it to a positive and vise versa.
