If we abolish the senate, it wouldn’t be based on election. Instead it would be selected by the governor general. Senate holds a lot of power, so instead on one person, I think it should be done with a person who has been chosen by the country.
I’m not sure your explanation is clear here. First, abolishing the senate would mean it wouldn’t exist anymore. Some people would say that since the Prime Minister selects the senators, it is someone that represents the people who chooses them.
