Co-Design Process

Teams Brain Storm Process

Step 1: In the Co-Design Brainstorm Doc, briefly describe your idea in a way that others will understand

Step 2: Use the Co-Design Google Doc to add feedback to the ideas and design process of others

Impact:

How might this idea positively impact the social and emotional well being of students/our school? What can be done to increase the impact of this idea?

Desirability:

What could you change to make this idea more desirable to students, teachers, administrators, parents or the community?

Integratability:

What would you change to make this idea easier to integrate into a school setting? How can we keep it from being seen as an “add-on”?

Feasability/Viability:

What would you change to make this idea more feasible or viable? Think: e.g lower the cost, make it more sustainable, make it easier to implement etc.

Step 3: Share your teams process. Review the Co-Design Brainstorm. Take a look at all of the feedback that has been provided for your project. Complete the questions below and post to your blog.

a) Briefly describe your new and improved idea, by incorporating ideas and/or feedback.

b) Answer the following questions:

– What problems might we run into?

– What skills do we need to complete this project? How can we attain these skills?

c) Create a brief timeline of key things that need to happen to ensure successful completion of your project. What happens next?

Your job is to set up your blog, create the category titled tech team, and alter the design of your blog. Your blogs will be used to interact with the course content, and for assessment. We want your blogs to showcase the school, and illustrate the power of our blogging culture. Essentially, make this blog your own, design it, create it, and play with it so, it is personalized for you.

Create a Tech Team Category

Step 1: Go to www.myriverside.sd43.bc.ca

Step 2: Login to your blog

Step 3: Add a Tech Team Category

a) Go to posts

b) Go to categories

c) Create a category

Name – Tech Team

Slug – DO NOTHING

Parent – The Grade You are In

Click – Add New Category

d) Go to Appearance

e) Go to Menus

f) Add the Tech Team Category to the Menu, drag it to where you want it in your blog, click update.

Year End Reflection

Complete the following questions thoroughly and in detail. Each question must be thoroughly answered in a blog post. Use pictures, videos and other evidence of your learning where appropriate.

b) What problems did you run into? Were you able to solve these challenges? How did you solve these challenges? Is there anything you would do differently?

Tech Team Day 7 – Tech Team Innovation

Tech Team Innovation

Step 1: Tech Team 

Take a moment to answer the following questions:

  • What aspects of Tech Team are successful? Explain why.
  • What aspects of Tech Team are challenging? Explain why.
  • What support does our school need from the Tech Team moving forward? Explain why.
  • What can we do to improve our support for our school?

Step 2: Research

Take some time to research various Tech Teams around North America. There are several schools using different variations of students in tech leadership positions. Look into them, and see what they are doing, how are they set up, how do they communicate, how do they improve their school culture around technology.

  • What are some things other Tech Teams are doing that we may want to apply at Riverside?
  • Has you research created any ideas that the Tech Team can implement here?

Step 3: Post to Your Blog

Place all of your answers to step 1 in and 2 in a blog post. Please be descriptive and explain things to the best of your ability.
