3D Printer | Exploration + Design

Your task is to explore the Maker Space, become a maker, designer and creator. This is no simple task.  You will explore the various tools in the Maker Space, and make something to solve a specifc problem your group has identified.

Step 1 – Empathize

• What is the problem we are trying to solve?
• Who are we trying to help and why?

Step 2 – Define

• What are the specific limitations and barriers that exist to solving this problem?

Step 3 – Ideate: Apply knowledge to a solution. Time to brainstorm. 

• Draw a diagram and/or outline
• Label the parts of your design
• List the resources you may need
• What tools and skills are required

Step 4 – Prototype: Design + Print (APPROVAL AND BEGIN BY MAY 30th)

*You must have approval to print from Ms. Henderson or Mr. Gee. We must see what you are building and see the setting you set in order to use material effectively.

Step 5 – Share and Reflect

• What did you build and why?
• What did you learn during the process? What were some of the challenges? What were some of the learning moments?
• If you could do it all again, what would change? What could be improved? Dream…

Step 6 – Submit (DUE JUNE 10th)
