How to find the greatest common factor between two numbers:

Step one: use division tables to divide the two numbers to one

Step two: use the numbers used to divide the two numbers in a expression

Step three: pair like terms between the two expressions  and cancel out one number of the pair

Step four: right the new expression

Step 5: simplify the equation and solve

The sum will be your GCF of the two numbers

This week I found finding the LCM to be confusing the first couple of times but I found it useful to find the GCF this way as it is simple and a much faster way than what i was taught previously.
