As an English student, I would describe myself as a creative and critical thinker, hardworking, dedicated, ambitious, and a good communicator. I can communicate with my peers while encouraging others to speak and being an active listener and I can analyse and compare information. I can also keep an open mind while learning about different perspectives and increasing my knowledge and I can generate ideas and use them to create original work. I enjoy reading and analyzing writing, such as poetry and stories, and I have a passion in sharing my ideas in different forms, such as essays, presentations, stories, and poetry. I particularly love writing poems since I use that skill in composing songs. As a student, I prefer having creative freedom on projects and assignments, because my work tends to have better quality when I relate and enjoy writing about the subject. I also like to work on long-term projects, such as writing a story, since my skills in writing improve greatly and I can learn a lot from the experience while being passionate. Throughout this course, I would like to improve the flow of my sentences and ideas when I am communicating with others or presenting. I would also like to get more comfortable with the different types of essay writing, since I have the most experience with argumentative and narrative essays. I hope to complete this course with high results by using my skills and developing new ones.
