Week 7 review – updated

Things I have learned:

-Find an angle of a triangle

$sin(x) = \frac{15}{40}\\x = 22^{\circ}$

To isolate x, I put $sin$ to the other side of the equations and changed it to $sin^{-1}$

$tan(x) = \frac{12.5}{8}\\x = 57^{\circ}$

This is pretty much the same as the last one, I put $tan$ to the other side of the equation and changed it to $tan^{-1}$

Solving Trig Questions

$Sin(x) = \frac{15}{30}\\x = Sin^{-1}(\frac{15}{30})\\x = 30^{\circ}$

To isolate $x$ , the Sin has to move over to the other side of the equation, and it becomes $sin^{-1}$

$Cos(30^{\circ}) = \frac{20}{x}\\x = \frac{20}{Cos(30^{\circ})}\\x = 23m$

To isolate $x$ , the $Cos(30^{\circ})$ has to switch with $x$

$Tan(25^{\circ}) = \frac{x}{50}\\x = 50\cdot Tan(25^{\circ})\\x = 23cm$

To isolate $x$ , 50 has to move over to the other side of the equation, and it changes from division to multiplication.
