An orthographic projection is a drawing or picture mapped with parallel lines to project it’s shape on to a plane. It is a three dimensional object drawn on paper in two dimensions. Orthographic projections are often used for remote manufacturing to try and keep low costs. To be able to test manufactured photo types designers produce drawings. The orthographic drawing normally has three views. We use orthographic projection so that we can make the object the precise size. The orthographic drawing is normally the last to be drawn.
