   I agree, we need to understand both sides of each argument. It’s hard though, sometimes we have our opinions and are less likely to seek the opposing arguments.
   Even just the perception that the environment is alive may help people desire to care for it. And yes, it would have to be something society believes in.
   Small steps are important, they help to create a practice of care.
