This picture shows the subarctic’s tundra vegetation (shrubs) and the aniamls in the coniferous forest (bears)

In this picture you can see that the trees, shurbs and grasses are scattered among this area you can also see the part of the area that has soil that are not very rich with only a few trees. On the mountains you can see the evergreens that are a part of the coast forest. There is also a section of the land where the coniferous forest transitions into the dry prairies which is after the are of short grass where the land is not wet enough for trees to grow.

Interior Plains

    • Confierous Forest
      • Parkland
        • Grassland

In this picture you can see the transition of the dry southern plains and the coniferous forests (parkland), you can also see the area containing the short grass because it doesn’t have enough moisture for trees (grassland). In the distance you can see the evergreen trees (coniferous forest), this is an example of the open woodland because there are evergreens and grass scattered in an area.

In this picture, there are some areas that has a treeless landscape (tundra), but you can also see in the distance the evergreens (coniferous forest), there is a river so there are most likely fish, and where there is fish, there are most likely bears, the animals that belong in the Coniferous biome as well as in the Mixed forest. This area has both evergreens and shrubs scattered around the river (open woodland).

St Lawrence Lowlands

  • Mixed Forest

This picture reveals the variety trees that this is area is made of, both soft and hardwood. This is known as the Mixed forest.

Appalachians

  • Mixed Forest
    • Coniferous Forest
      • Open Woodland

In this picture you can see that there are a lot of different types of trees and represents the coniferous and mixed forest along with the open woodland.
