Electricity Generation and Transmission

THE HYDROELECTRIC POWER: The dam is built to trap water usually from an already existing lake. Water flowers into the dam turns that turbines which drives the generator. It’s a very cheap way to produce electricity.

THE ADVANTAGES:

engery is free

no polution

water can be stored

THE DISADVANTAGE:

expensive  to build

Cause problems for animals

takes up a lot of space

THE THERMAL POWER:

Water is heated, turns to steam and spins a turbin which drives an electrical

THE ADVANTEGES:

cost effective

heat can be reused

easy matnence

THE DISVANTEGS:

Harms environment

responsible for rain in sea level

Low efficiency
