Social Media PSA

This PSA is intended to be a reminder for the general public. I want the viewer to see past the limited benefits of social media and to understand that because not everyone displays signs of “extreme” addiction to social media, the overuse of social media platforms in our everyday lives has become normalized, and that needs to change. Although it can be argued indefinitely that social media allows for expression and creates opportunities for business owners, the truth remains that in addition to this “normalized overuse”, these platforms also open up the door for distractions and alternatives to real-life conversations. The cons outweigh the pros in almost all aspects of the argument.  To help solve this problem, I suggested limiting screen time (awareness), using social media to plan face-to-face interactions instead of communicating solely online, and finally, enjoying the simple things in life. Sometimes, the littlest things are what make the biggest differences.
