Edible DNA Model

In Science class, my partner and I (Raiyah) created an edible DNA model. It represents the double helix form that most DNA takes. The rule for DNA is

A always binds with T, G with C, T with A and C with G.

Here are the steps we took to create the model:

  • First we had to figure out the corresponding side of the given code ( TAC GTA TGA AAC)
  • Next, we made sure we had the correct amount of each colour of marshmallow.
  • After, we collected our other materials (Twizzlers and toothpicks)
  • Finally, we assembled it.

It didn’t take us long to complete this. It becomes fairly easy if you figure out what you need before hand.
