In our society, very often when a crime is committed we try to come up with excuses for the criminals. If they rob a bank, we say “Oh, well they probably needed money to eat so they don’t starve!” Society tries to understand and be optimistic about the criminals morals. It is quite sad but in a way it’s nice that we as a race have now tried to see the best in people as opposed to the worst. Sometimes it helps because criminals could have good intentions, but at the same time often it is the opposite. Even when a criminal’s morals are evil, we try to come up with excuses and be compassionate towards then. This may all sound depressing but the reason I found this quote interesting was because as harsh as it is it is an interesting take on society. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I found this one quite unique.
