Overall, I was quite happy with the outcome of my narrative essay. Some of the metaphors and imagery I used made me feel as if I could accurately portray my feelings. Also, I summed up a very long story into an a thousand word essay. So in all, I was pleased with my imagery and my length.
That being said, next time I know I need to continue working on “pruning the dead wood” and be able to edit my work to really make it concise and powerful. I also need to remember to stay in the same tense, making sure my sentences are fluid with the same parallels. In my writing I tend to use too many metaphors and even though I will understand it, others get easily lost in all the comparisons.
