This week in math 10, we were introduced to graphing. In this unit the math was quite simple. The most troubling part was the vocabulary. If you understood what you were being told to do, it all made sense.
An example: The cost of jelly beans is related to the weight.
In this example C (cost): is the dependant variable; dependant meaning: a variable that depends on one or more other variables. It is also the output value meaning: a function related to the input value.
The dependant value will always be on y axis, range being strictly up and down
The W(weight): has the independent variable: being an independent variable known as X. It is also the input value and the domain which is strictly across.
