This week in math ten we were introduced to relations between shapes. We watched some math videos that showed how two cones created one sphere.
The height of two cones= a sphere.
In another video we saw relationships between pyramids and cones.
The volume of three pyramids was equal to a prism.
This means that we can take the volume of a pyramid with the same height and bottom, and multiplying it by 3, we can also find the volume of a pyramid by taking the volume of a prism with the same height and bottom, and dividing it by 3.
This helped me understand the formula better and is a helpful method for this unit.
