Science App Review

During science this unit our main focus is chemistry, as a visual learner having an application is a great way to help out with my assignments and study for upcoming tests and quizzes.

I downloaded an app called Periodic Table which has helped me complete my homework and identify elements on the Periodic Table. It has a list of each different type of elements( ex: Alkali, Alkaline, etc) and they are all colour coded . Once you type in a element on the ” search ” tab it gives you a full description of the element, it tells us the atomic   weight, which category it is placed in, the state and many more pertinent information. Something I enjoy about this app is that it has a picture of each element and what it looks like, and it gives multiple links that we could use to learn more about each and every element. In this app it helps me draw out Borh Diagrams and how many atoms I need to add to the outer shell.

This app itself has very positive content but something I wish it could include is the cations and the anions it would be helpful if it could read some of the compounds out loud to help with some of the pronunciations of the elements but other than that, this app is definitely something I enjoy using while doing my science homework.

  1. Thanks for your App Review. Don’t forget to outline the Solution Fluency process while sharing details about your app. I appreciate the media that you included but you might want to add more to make your post clearer.
