On Friday the class had a lab day using Vitamin C, Iodine and starch solution. Later in the experiment we mixed these substances in with five other liquids ( tea, Gatorade, etc.) to test for vitamin C  to find out the end result of each of the liquids. To start off our experiment we put 5ml of starch into all five of our test tubes and mixed in one drop of iodine which made the substance a blue colour that ended up looking like this:

 

 

In each of our test tubes we added ten drops of our liquids ( liquids: vitamin C,banana and strawberry juice, Gatorade, tea, blueberry juice and 7up)  to see the end result and test for vitamin C. Duuring the lab e were taking notes of our observations. each substance had a different impact once we added them to the test tubes which was very cool to see. once we were done the end product looked like this:

 

 

By the end of our experiment we noticed that most substances became lighter and some even resulted as clear which may have been due to the amount of vitamin C in each beverage.

During this experiment I found it very interesting to find out what the consequences would be in each of the test tubes each different had a different amount of vitamin C which impacted the experiment and made it interesting. I enjoyed this experiment and it was important to see the effect every substance had an the reactions were all different which was intriguing.
