For the Birds- Ballad Poem

For The Birds

Image result for for the birds

A small blue bird sat on a power line,

On a cloudy and sunny day,

He shook his feathers and looked around,

His intentions were to stay

Another blue bird came flying in,

He took a seat beside the first,

He stretched his wings hitting the face,

Of the one who called him the worst

Another blue bird dropped right by,

As the other two were fighting,

As more small birds flew to the group,

There was nothing less than biting

With bitterness all were filled,

Disunity flowed through the group,

The sky was filled with tweets of birds,

As they shouted at their troop

Then came a strange honking noise,

That put a stop to the fighting,

As all the birds looked for the source,

Their faces weren’t inviting

These small blue birds were bullies,

To other species and themselves,

These small blue birds will soon learn,

To show love to everyone else

A big blue bird sitting on a wire,

Was the source of the honking,

He was trying to make friends with them,

But all they did was mock him

The big bird flew  to the group,

As they were all laughing at him,

He sat in the middle of birds,

And the wire took one big swim

He had squished the entire group,

All weighed down by his largeness,

All he wanted was new friends,

But they all thought to disregard this

These small blue birds were bullies,

To other species and themselves,

These small blue birds will soon learn,

To show love to everyone else

So they pecked him and he fell,

Only to hold on upside down,

The mean birds got squished together,

And wanted to peck him to the ground

They pecked at his poor large feet,

But what they failed to realize,

Was if he let go of the wire,

They would all quickly rise

They tried to save themselves,

But the lovely big bird let go,

And up went the small blue birds,

Their feathers detached in the blow

He landed safely on the ground,

And down came the featherless crew,

To whom the bird gave shelter,

To hide their new hairdo

These small blue birds were bullies,

To other species and their crew

These small ones learned from him,

When they were put into his shoe.
