“The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” Narrative

When Walter saw the guns pointed towards him he lowered his head and muttered a small incoherent line that got one of the guns men to ponder what he said. “what was that” said the gun man. Walter just looked up and smiled as he said one word “boom” just then an explosion went off behind the soldiers as they turned around they saw a group of men coming in as a raid. As one of the men turn back Walter as insolent as he could kicked the gun right from his hands and with luck on his side he caught the gun and shot the man dead center in his chest. The other men noticed Walter running and started shooting at him and yelling things like “get that son of a” or “kill him” but Walter just laughed at the men as he ran out in front of a tank…

“Walter be careful, you’re lucky that car stopped” yelled Mrs. Mitty from across the street. Walter looked back at his wife and thought how he got here. As he crossed the street back to the gas station he looked over and saw a man getting thrown out of a house “and don’t every speak to my daughter ever again” said the man throwing out the other man. The man got up and stumbled into a fence. When Walter was almost done crossing the street he tripped on the curb…

“you lousy, good for nothing, piece of garbage” said the guard as he pushed a haggard Walter into the camp. Walter looked up at the man with a disdainful look and spat in his face hitting directly the center of the cheek. “why you little” said the guard as he hit Walter.
