The aspects of my work that are successful are usually the troubleshooting jobs or the more simple “pick up a camera, and film a thing” type jobs and they usually go off without a hitch. The aspects that are more challenging are ones that require a group presence to work such as streaming the spoken words because everyone needs to be present and understand their role, but for some reason we are always one or two people short when these things come up. Getting everything to run smoothly when it’s up and running is also difficult because there is always something that has to go wrong whenever a big event comes up. Planning a few days or weeks before these big events would help, and also teaching everyone from our group every aspect of what they have to do makes having everyone there non-essential because if everyone is well-versed in what they are doing, that makes the individuals within our group much more versatile and in turn we can plug whoever shows up into whichever job needs doing and less resources will be used as well. We need to improve on tying up every single loose end possible before we stream these bigger events because we have yet to have a flawless execution which is honestly quite sad and a little embarrassing. Last time the audio was quality was poor and the camera died in the first 20 minutes and we were without a charger for the next ten. We all have to be a bit more disciplined.
