Week 8: Equivalent forms of the Quadratic Funtion

every format of quadratic functions can be converted to another form to fit your needs to solve problems. The three forms are: Standard form, (y=a(x-p)^2 + q, General form: ax^2 + bx + c or factored: y=a(x-r1)(x-r2)

Factored form may be converted to General form, which can be either converted to Standard form, or back to factored. However, to get from Standard form to Factored form, you must convert to General form first. You cannot convert Standard straight to factored and vice-versa.
