Quick and Dirty on Communication and Inviting Writers to Do All the Things | Open Book      Digital Marketing Tips For A Successful 2020

What is Gmail? Although it is so common to people now and it’s much more basic and perhaps less interesting to many teenagers than social media applications like Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat. Gmail was probably the most famous and first new media way of digital communication that may have affected many social media applications today. Gmail was created on April 1. 2004 by a man named Paul Buchheit who was Google’s 23rd employee. The reason why Gmail was created is simple, Paul felt very inconvenient about always “[going] back to dorm room to check the email” he thought it was too stupid to do that, he wanted to make a web-based mail that could be checked and used in anywhere anytime. A young man who worked for Google simply came up with the idea to use his own email as easily as it is now in the New Media way. That you can connect with any people no matter how far you are from them. One man’s simple desire created a great Gmail today that was the first application allowed people to communicate freely as the modern social media we use today.  Many people wanted the same thing as Paul, now there are more than 1.5 billion users of Gmail today. As described above, Gmail is extremely powerful and influential, so it is revenue. Gmail makes money only through advertisements, but the number is huge. Gmail sends out 200,000 ads every day and if the advertiser only pays 0.05 dollars for the advertisement, they would still make a revenue of 200,000dollar every day. Although now Gmail is still the most used application to communicate in all areas of the world there was a hard time in Gmail too.  When Paul first came up with the idea, everyone thought it was a bad idea because “When Buchheit started working on Gmail, many claimed that the idea would fail as it had nothing to do with the search business” also there was already a Hotmail from the Microsoft however the google’s two CEO Larry Page and Sergey Brin and paul’s efforts have helped create today’s Gmail with over 1.5million user optimized for new media by making it easier and smarter to connect the people digitally unlike the basic email in old days. Gmail has grown so much that it’s now being used as a global app. The last thing wants to say is that Gmail has grown so much that it is now being used as a global application, but people think it is too formal and it is much older than other than social media that came out recently, but Gmail is the source that influenced all of this and appreciates that Gmail “was in the works for nearly three years before it reached” for people to feel the best of their use which people should be grateful about it and know Gmail created the first opportunity for people to communicate easily for their life.
