Math Blog Week 18

The Top 5 things I learned in Math 10.

5. Exponents

For multiplying radicals or roots it is very helpful to be able to convert them into a form that is easy to multiply and add.

4. Factoring Polynomials

I just really enjoyed factoring polynomials first off because I learned a new easier way to multiply larger numbers without a calculator and second off because of multiplying polynomials together.

3. Systems of Linear Relations

I enjoyed finding the point where lines crossed each other, using substitution, and elimination and finding such points is quite useful in graphing with multiple equations.

2. Trigonometric Ratios

Trigonometric ratios were probably one of the more important things I learned this semester even if I wasn’t as good at it as the other units. Since i’m planning to go into art and computer modelling, trigonometry is a very useful skill.

1. Functions and Relations

Functions are integral parts of computer programming and relations allow the use of graphing to map equations.
