“Taming of the Shrew Stop Motion Induction Scene Project”

In this project we made stop motion animations for William Shakespeare’s “Taming of the Shrew” I opted to work by myself. In the play there are two stories, the induction and the inset, an induction is the main story, and an inset is a story within the story, we were tasked to do the induction where a lord pulls a prank on a drunk peasant named Sly to make him think that he was actually a very rich lord who has a wife and servants, who has a play performed for him. The inset on the other hand is about guys trying to get a beautiful young lady but her father won’t let anyone marry her until the shrewd eldest daughter is wed.

While making this project some of the many difficulties I encountered include but not limited to: forgetting to bring materials under a time constraint, crashes, the fact that I haven’t heard my own voice in three years, some of the stuffy’s stiffness and tendency to fall over, staying up late for two nights in a row, gravity, working on a tiny desk, Apple’s stupid email system, converting audio files, finding an email system that sends multiple attachments, minor procrastination, installing windows movie maker, windows movie maker, and Donald Trump just because.

The most important thing I learned in this project was that my determination is what allows me to keep up and pull ahead, followed closely by: be clear on instructions and how to make stop motion.
