The novelĀ The Fault in Our Stars by John Green is about two individuals that meet at a cancer support group and eventually fall in love. I learned that even in the hardest times of your life and when you feel most alone there is always someone to talk to to help get you through it. As humans we need to communicate and express our emotions but sometimes it seems difficult. In this novel Hazel Grace, a cancer patient, feels like she has no friends and her family doesn’t understand what she’s going through, until she meets Augustus, another cancer patient, who is instantly attracted to her and makes an extreme effort to get to know her. Throughout the novel Hazel Grace and Augustus open up to each other and help each other get through their difficult time by learning living their lives to the fullest. This novel taught me that humans need connections and to communicate especially through hard times because they are difficult to cope with alone.
