Warm Bodies – Isaac Marion
Warm Bodies is a zombie apocalyptic book about a zombie named R. As a zombie you lose everything. Your memory, your identity, your pulse, even your own name, which has just left R with the first letter. A zombie can eat a whole human, but R’s favorite part is the brain, because when you eat a human’s brain, you get their memories, the only thing R really wished he had. So when R eat’s the brain of Perry Kelvin, he feels an undeniable urge to protect his girlfriend – now ex-girlfriend – Julie, which turns out harder than first thought. . .
I had already seen the movie to this book a few years ago and really enjoyed it, so when I walked past this book in the library I knew I had to read it and took it out without a second thought. Throughout the book, I found myself constantly comparing the book to the movie and thought that the movie was very well done compared to the movie and stuck to the original plot very well, but the book had a lot more details and character backstory, which I really liked.
