How might your digital footprint affect your future opportunities?
Your digital footprint could affect your future because your employers can see what you’ve been up to on social media, school etc… It can affect you in a positive or a negative way. Its as easy as researching your name. when you research your name, a history of things will show up like your comments and posts. Even if you ‘’delete’’ those comments or posts, they are still there for people to see if they research you. They can also stuff that are positive and could help benefit you.
Describe at least three strategies that you can use to keep your digital footprint appropriate and safe
You can post things social media that are positive. Like comments for example. If you post a mean/offensive comment, it come back to you. Another way of keeping it safe is keep all your accounts private. The third thing you can do is not post your personal info.
What did you learn and what you would pass on to other students
I learned that people should never post bad things on the internet because one little offensive joke can ruin your career. They will have access to what you post even if you pressed the delete button. Another thing I would suggest is to never post personal info and keep your account private so you can limit who sees your posts.
