3 Paragraph of Capital Punishment within the short story, “Two Fishermen”

– This is a picture that shows various kinds of Capital Punishment. If I tell each one of them in separate situations, it is so brutal and unhumilian so I’m not including every examples to explain this pictures.

Capital Punishment should be diminished. Capital punishment is the practice of executing someone as punishment for a specific crime after a proper legal trial. It can only be used by a state, so when non-state organisations speak of having ‘executed’ a person they have actually committed a murder. In Canada, they restrict people to do Capital Punishment unless it is proceed by military. In 1967, a moratorium was placed on the death penalty. But it was not until 1976 that Canada formally abolished the death penalty from the Criminal Code, when the House of Commons narrowly passed Bill C-84. By then, Canada had hanged 710 people since capital punishment was enacted in 1859. Likewise, It was not common in Canada, and is still decent amount of people disagree with doing Capital Punishment.

When you look inside the short story, “Two Fishermen”, it is certain that Capital Punishment is one of the most well-known topic discussion. Politicians have lots of words to talk about Capital Punishment and Agreements and Disagreements have fought over the years. In the short story, examples of Michael Foster and Smitty incident, tells you why society hides the truth. As I mentioned, Canada is not legally guarantee country for doing Capital Punishment. They do not offer it in first place and if they reach to the point where all family members agree and discuss a lot of time with lawyers, u can consider of doing that. As the story was based on Canada, I’m guessing that it was happened on 1800s when government has not enough power to control all of areas. J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring once said, “Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement.”. I think one of our cities revived Capital Punishment and it became bigger and bigger issue nowadays.

To my perspective, I think Thomas Delaney should not been killed for his actions in defending his wife. He was escaped from prison and it should be punished by his actions. Nevertheless killing him as little sin and defending his wife is considered to be big distortion to their society, I think they made a mistake. They could just put him back to prison and give him time to ready and choose himself to do right or wrong. Just end his life by executer is not real justice everyone should agree with. In fact, I do not agree with doing Capital Punishment and it has to be fixed.
