Video Monologue- The falsely accused Christopher!

A video monologue from the book based on the curious incident of the dog in the nighttime! Cristopher Boone, was falsely accused by the police and gets called to the station, they question him and tries to claim himself innocent. Christopher tries to overcome his father who tries to stop  Christopher from investigating this tragic death of Wellington.

15 years old and at a police station for a crime you didn’t commit was really weird and makes your mind go blank. The police ask me for my dads number and before I went in they took  my stuff out of my pockets, soon after I call my father Ed Boone he arrives outside of the station. My father sitting beside me and the officer across from me looks at me like I killed the dog “Wellington” I would never kill a dog I love dogs, the police officer continues to question me as I give concrete information, the fork you saw in the dog was most likely Mr.Shears because he moved suddenly and didn’t even leave any short of information for anyone to contact him. My father doesn’t want me being involved in this and says for me to say out of peoples business, my main suspect is Mr.Shears but my 2nd suspect is also my father as well because he’s acting suspicious and quite shady at the same time. My main intention was seeing if the dog was okay, I should have not hugged the dog because now I look guilty and not innocent. The killer of the dog must be in this very room and who knows, it could be the nosy police officer or my shady father? A 15 year old getting accused for a crime they didn’t commit is crazy for me even! But as I said before the killer is still roaming free and getting away with this psycho act they committed.

My Reflection on my assignment!

For my Monologue, I chose Christopher as my character to reflect on  because he is the main character in the book and we can really see his personality well.I chose this specific scene because I thought it was pretty interesting to see a 15 year being questioned and accused at such a young age is very rare and crazy and also quite interesting focusing on Christopher’s prospective during this scene. On this assignment I had one minor difficulty, which  was trying to get the mouth in place and needed bunch of tries to get it right but overall I had lots of fun doing this assignment and didn’t have much of a problem besides that. In addition I made my character to what I thought Christopher looked like based off the description in the book and just using my imagination of what he looked like without many description given to me. While writing and recording this monologue, I acted as how Christopher would feel in this situation and getting a little nervous and shocked at the same time. There’s many things I imagined and came up in my head during this monologue, for example acting as if you were In the situation like Christopher or adding stuff you would think he’d say in that situation and mostly being unique and making it like you’re the character of the story. But Christopher is a very good and logical character to build this up on and really fun trying to see from his prospective and having his thoughts. I wanted to make this monologue as creative as possible and trying to put my emotion into as well. As I was making sure there were no errors what so ever, when I recorded I kept messing up and messing up the lines of my monologue and so I made sure to it read out slowly and made it easier to understand. Meanwhile doing this assignment I was making sure my edublog post was set up correctly and made sure the file was embedded in the correct place in the post!  I really enjoyed this assignment and had lots of fun doing and hoping to do an assignment similar to this in the future.
