Infinite solutions require the two equations to be the same, one solution means they need different slope and y-intercept and no solutions require the same slope with different y-intercept. 

To convert intercept form to general form use algebra to move over the y value. (Correction do not multiply the numerator by the denominator to remove the fractions, multiplying by the dominator only removes the denominator for fractions, for the numbers without fractions multiply by the denominator.)

The m variable is slope while the b variable is y intercept.

Factoring polynomials can be done be following these steps. Some polynomials are unable to be factored and its easy to tell by checking your options and if you are unable to find the answer theres a chance its un factorable.
