About Me

Welcome to my Edublog. Here you can find work that I have done throughout my high school career, in both English and French, and on this page you can find out about me!

“When you start seeing your own worth, you’ll find it

harder to stay around people who don’t.”

-unknown

This quote describes a lot of personal growth in my own life. I did not have anyone to build me up at home as I grew up and I had to deal with a bit of bullying when I was younger, so I never understood what my own worth was. I still cannot say that I completely do, but I have gotten a bit better at it. I pushed away the people who I felt did not give me the respect I deserve as another person. Some of these people are still part of my life, but I have gotten a lot better at ignoring what they say. This quote also inspires me to find the worth in myself when I feel there is none. It could be because of something someone else said, did or even implied, but it could be something I told myself. Another part of gaining self-respect was being able to push away a lot of the negative thoughts I had. While some still remain, I see them as neutral things rather than negative most of the time now. I wish I could give credit to whomever first created this quote, but I am quite happy I discovered it at all.

This is just a video with some of my favourite Youtubers trying to beat a monkey at chess while singing. There is nothing particularly special about it, but I tend to watch it when I am feeling upset. It always manages to crack me up.

It seems slightly ridiculous, but Word Reference is a meaningful website to me. I am a late French immersion student, and this ended up becoming the most useful website I have ever used. It does not always have what I am looking for, but is always my first thought when I do not know a word in French.
